What Makes a Good Realtor?

Yes, there are many Realtors to choose from, and most have the knowledge to "get the job done".  Do they REALLY know Real Estate?  Do they REALLY know contracts, values, trends, and SERVICE?  I would like to highlight just a few of my qualifications and achievements, and hopefully you will agree that I have what it takes to be your Realtor for life!

U.S. Navy Veteran  Having served in our military from '92-'96, and earning several commendations and service medals, I have a unique and honorable work ethic.  I am not afraid to work hard, get my "hands dirty", or go above and beyond the normal duties of our profession.  Plus, I don't take no for an answer!

Higher Education  I have a degree in Finance from Cal State University, Bakersfield, where I graduated at the top of my class, as well as the G.R.I. designation (Graduate, Realtor Institute- a 14 course continued education program for Realtors).  I believe this gives me a better understanding of market conditions, mortgage solutions, property values, and various other elements of real estate that most Realtors do not have.

Work Experience  I grew up in a household where construction was the family business, so I know how homes are (or should be) built.  I was also a Life Insurance Underwriter for many years with State Farm Insurance, and a large part of our job was customer service.  I know how to take care of people!

Proven Job Performance  I have been the Coldwell Banker Riverlakes' Top Lister and Top Salesman for the past 4 years, during which I reached the second highest production level in our company.  I was also chosen as the Bakersfield Assoc. of Realtors "Rising Star" in 2005, an honor for which I am quite proud.  Although I have been quite successful as a Realtor, I have avoided creating a "team" of assistants and agents so that I can continue to provide one-on-one, personal service to my clients.

Local Area Knowledge  Although I did not grow up in Bakersfield, CA, I have acquired a great understanding of the various neighborhoods in Bakersfield, as well as each of their qualities as they relate to Real Estate.  I have done a great deal of my business in Northwest Bakersfield (Westlake, Madison Grove, San Lauren, Dove Creek, Polo Greens, Polo Fields, Riverlakes, Olive Dr. area, Talledega, Silver Oak Ranch, Olive Park, Redwood Classics, Redwood Estates, Rosedale, etc.) and Southwest Bakersfield (Silver Creek, Seasons, Campus Park, Laurelglen, The Oaks, Haggin Oaks, Seven Oaks, Grand Islands, The Greens, Southern Oaks, Brighton Estates, Lennar, Centex, McMillin, Kyle Carter, and more).  I deal with new construction, resale, REO homes/foreclosures, short sales, investment properties, 1-4 unit dwellings, and for the most part any listing or buying of single family homes. 

Family  I am the son of two wonderful parents who still hold hands after 36 years of marriage, the husband to a beautiful wife who supports me no matter what, and the father to two of the most gorgeous kids you will ever see!  This network extends out to many family and friends who make life a joy and a blessing.  I always make an effort to bring this caring quality into my business, and I feel that it really helps me put my clients' best interests first.
